Fashionably Late but in Style:
When I first started the process of thinking of a time piece, I wanted to do a pocket watch because not a lot of people do that usually. I thought it would be original. Here are my sketches for the pocket-watch.
There were multiple people in the class doing a pocket watch and so I decided to do something else. I even thought of doing a grandfather clock but that idea didn’t last long. I looked up other watches that I can do and I saw this one that I fell in love with. It was like love at first site.
At first it looks complicated at first but I love when things are hard because they make me work harder and I learn a lot more things. I was getting a little stressed just thinking about it but at the same time I was so exciting to do it and see how it would come out.
I did a draft and it came out well but I didn’t shade nothing at first. Once I started to add color and shading with highlights it was it looked so much better. It took me about 20-25 hours to finish. This project literally pushed really hard. I learned a lot from experience and I’m really grateful for this project.
