This is my final draft of a watch. The picture on the left inspired the watch on the right, which I created on Adobe Illustrator.

I sketched out a rough draft of the watch, then separated the watch into individual components. I played with the shadows and shading in my sketch.

My first draft mainly consisted of shapes. I chose to forgo the shading at first. I wanted to really tackle the shapes and figure out how many I needed. 

 

Then I began playing around with the lighting. I played around with gradients for a while. Then I realized that I could mostly use different shades of the same color to create the desired look. 

I ended with by working on the small details. I added a fairly transparent shape over the face to crete the ill
