I chose this graphic on Dribble.com by an artist named J.W.Lee. What first drew me to think illustration, were the colors and the bright orange bus. I love old VW busses, so this really drew my attention. I think they did a good job with portraying a free and relaxed feeling through their illustrations.

I thought a smart factor they included was the leading lines through the leaves that directs your eye towards the bus, and creates a change from all of the horizontal lines. I think another nice detail they added was the girl fist bumping to fights against the repetition. The leaves also give the illustration a great perception of depth. The leaves appear bigger than the bus giving you the impression that the bus is further away. Another good factor is how well the leaves frame the bus.

I think having dominantly horizontal lines made the graphic very pleasing to the eye. The repetition of the lines make this a very comfortable illustration. Along with the thoughtfully places lines, the colors and relaxation from the figures make it feel very fresh.

I think this illustration was done very well done and very thought out. I like the feeling of freshness and familiarity I get from it. I think that is a very important factor to bring to the table when you are creating something.
