Creating a gig poster for an imaginary band really intrigued me. Making up my band wasn’t too hard, making sure my band conveyed what I wanted it to was a little more. I had originally planned to add a lot more but I guess this project deadline hit me too quick and I’ll have to come back to it to finish what I really want it to look like. Basically I feel like in life we are told sky is the limit and so we get these dreams we have till then we start reaching for them and society or people tear us down. It seems like our own thoughts and tongues are broken because we have to do what other have told us to do. I think I was able to convey this how I wanted to in my poster but in the future I’d like to add more depth into this and maybe change the perspective of how we look at it. Overall I really liked this project and hope to finish it or completely improve it later on.

My process in creating this poster:

Step 1: I let my mind clear and the ideas flow on what I wanted my band to be about, what of my own thoughts could I incorporate into something that made a little bit of sense.

Step 2: I started sketching out ideas of what was in my mind then playing the band name off of those.

Step 3: I opened my ideas into Adobe Illustrator and started making some basic shapes and ideas.

Step 4: I added in the final details and exported it.
