I wanted to create a set of icons for one of my favorite games, Destiny. These icons would feature silhouettes  and use three colors to further unify the set. I set a few rules for myself as I started working. First I would use only the three colors I had determined, (red, green, blue), second I would focus on accurately portray the three character classes of the game, and three I would simplify as much as possible.

I started my sketches by trying to establish what makes each class unique. I settled on their class symbols, super charged powers, weapon specialty, and a fourth undetermined. Through out my sketches I tired to capture the main elements of the classes and the unique class armors.

My drafts turned out better than I had expected. Thought they had some issued with the realism of the folds and the backgrounds for the last three drafts. My silhouette work was pretty solid, but they are complex figures that I am try to capture and reduce down. As i worked more with my drafts I worked on the contrast and making them more clear. I also removed the back grounds in my final drafts.

My Finals met my objectives as they stick to the color rule, using only the three colors and black. Additionally they capture the essence of the different classes of characters without becoming overly complicated.
