When I was told to come up with 12 different icons I started to think about things that I enjoy doing. I soon came up with the idea of camping for my icons. I have been camping since I was a little kid and still go camping today.

I have never been much of a drawer as you can tell with my sketches. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to do 3d objects so I stuck to 2d perspective. Which is how my icons turn out they are all flat.

I first six icons I thought turned out pretty good for me. I know I am not that good at drawing and stuff so the style that I picked was more a very simple 2d look.

I am happy with how my 12 icons turned out. You can defiantly tell what the theme is and the style is consistent in each icon. I do wish my skill in drawing the icons was better. What I struggled with most was using the paint tool. so I had to rely on the shape tool. It also to me while to figure our how to turn 3d objects into 2d objects. Like the back pack icon. I didn’t know how to do that in 3d so I decided to just draw the back of the bag to make it 2d. I really liked this project. It got me to spend a lot of time in illustrator, which I haven’t seen since comm 150.
